Tell Everybody About Lead!

One out of every 10 Michigan children tested in 1998 was found to be lead poisoned. Despite unleaded gas and prohibiting the use of lead-based paint for residential use, children in rural as well as urban areas around the country with older housing stock, areas near factories and highways are still at risk for being lead poisoned. Our continued efforts to educate new parents as well as the community about lead poisoning are so very important!

"Tell Somebody About Lead" is a fun and easy way to do just that! These 8 colorful, easy to understand handouts can be used to teach others the "Who?, What?, When?, Why?, Where? and How?" about lead poisoning. Listed below are a variety of ways to share this information:

  • Mount the handouts on a wall

  • Create a portable storyboard for presentations, meetings and health fairs!

  • Assembly in book for to use as learning tool

  • Think of other useful ways to use this fun resource!
