It is the goal of the Community Outreach & Education Core to increase awareness and share knowledge of Environmental Toxicology with members of the Community. Our objectives are to:

  • Disseminate our existing educational programs for K-12 students and their teachers that cover the state and national science education objectives as well as address basic toxicological principles that are linked to the research interests of the Center members;
  • Focus on public and community education on reducing environmental disease risk and/or hazard exposure as it relates to the clinical and research focus of the Center members;
  • Serve as a resource on environmental health issues to the metropolitan Detroit community, as well as local, state and federal agencies.
